A print of the holy well of the Rhondda valleys, overlooking both Fawr a Fach. It is said in the 13th C a wooden statue of Mary appeared in a tree, and at the foot of the tree was a well with water so clear and beautiful it could cure most ailments.

Now the well is enclosed in a Capel Bach, with a statue of Mary looking out over the valleys. It is still a place of pilgrimage to this day, the quote at the base of the print was by Gwilym Tew in 1470
